SPORTS, DANCES & ARTS:
Building Everyone, Anyone!
Every year, we celebrate one special
event that builds our abilities in a certain area. Like, for example, the Nutrition
Month for July, which obviously aims to awake us in our health status. Of
course, every celebration aims one thing: FOR THE BETTER.
During September, we celebrate an
event worth competing for. INTRAMURALS. It’s a simple word, yet excites anyone
when this becomes the hot topic in a certain area. It compromise games and such
sports competed within a student body. Different sports being rivalled by a
certain group to another group. Its not good to know that students compete for
a CUP but that is only to tell the sportsmanship of everyone, students and/or
teachers.
Our Freshies maybe our newbies but who knows that they excel too in other areas. Physical appearance is not only our requirement to battle during INTRAMURALS. Intellectual ability, dances and arts are some where everyone would not complain about their physical abilities.
Our seniors are our professionals in
school for they are already veterans in fighting for a cup. They already once
experienced losing and being the pigtail. But for those three years of being
the least, they got the advantage during their senior year. It’s the experience
that they hold onto, to fight harder and win. The seniors once stepped the
places of our Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors.
In our school, we celebrate our
intramural blissfully though it rained. Many want to finish the scheduled date
but because of the bad weather, we had to suspend it. Who would want to not bear
with the weather? Unless when you are brave enough to face the really bad
weather. That must suck! Soaked while you tried to play. You cant really
concentrate.
We had a parade before the opening
program and its good to know that we, the seniors, are bringing home the
bacon. We spent the Intramural for four days including the day of the opening
program.
Intramural isn’t just about the
championship titles or being grouped as Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and
Seniors. It isn’t just about how you can beat one team. It isn’t about winning
and losing. It isn’t about rivalry and opponents and never will be. It is
always how you play and enjoy each game. It is always about being friends with
your opponent at the end of the game. Its always how you learn from losing and
how you can strive more by winning. Its always been about your faith in
yourself and how you act for good SPORTSMANSHIP.
